We’re getting down to ‘brass pins’ on GDA2020

This year’s Surveying & Spatial Sciences Institute Queensland Conference will be held at City Hall on 23-24 August 2018, and I am delighted to be returning to present my thoughts on moving forward with the GDA2020 transition.

As everyone grapples with the change in Australia Datum, preparing for your transition to Geocentric Datum of Australia 2020 is gaining urgency and momentum.  Last year, we spoke about the ‘whats’ and the ‘whys’ and how to assess the potential impact of the datum modernisation across your existing systems. This year, it’s time to get down to brass ‘pins’ and take action to ensure a smooth transition. In my session, I’ll be focusing on how to prepare for the change and what you need to be doing now, to ensure you are compliant and ready for the transition.

I will be speaking on Day 1 at 2pm on the topic of Transitioning to GDA2020 – Getting down to brass pins, sharing experiences and identifying risk factors to consider in formulating your approach to a successful and robust GDA2020 transition plan.

We hope to see you at this years SSSI Queensland Conference. Learn more and register here.
